Surrounding them are 56 hand-assembled blocks composed of pink gold, glass, and basalt—the very stone found at the legendary Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. Hublot has engineered a new watchmaking construction to uniquely and innovatively display its extraordinary power reserve. In this design, traditional platinum is replaced by long bridges fixed on either side of a ring serving as the movement’s base. This original approach, combined with skeletonized components, gives the Manufacture HUB1201 caliber a tri-dimensional effect and striking depth, visible from the side of the case or underneath.
Hublot, renowned for its mastery of fusion and precious metal alchemy, has developed a new gold color with a warmer hue than traditional 5N 18K gold. This exclusive King Gold alloy, which primarily contains platinum, is ideal for polishing and satin finishing.
The watch case measures 45 mm in size and is made from microblasted 18K King Gold. The bezel is also crafted from microblasted 18K King Gold and secured with six H-shaped titanium screws. The watch offers water resistance up to 100 meters or 10 ATM. The sapphire crystal features an anti-reflective treatment for enhanced clarity.
