Designed to withstand extreme conditions on the court, this timepiece weighs just 11.5 grams without the strap, making it the lightest mechanical tourbillon watch ever created by the brand.
Its case is crafted from Carbon TPT® B.4, a next-generation composite exclusive to Richard Mille, offering exceptional durability, shock resistance, and a refined matte finish. The skeletonized movement features a flying tourbillon, enhancing chronometric performance while minimizing weight and friction. The Santos Skeleton watch, large model, features a mechanical Manufacture movement with manual winding, caliber 9612 MC. The case is made of black ADLC-coated steel and includes a seven-sided crown set with a blue synthetic spinel. It has sword-shaped hands made of polished gray steel, and both the crystal and case back are sapphire.
It comes with a black alligator leather strap with a double adjustable folding buckle in ADLC-coated steel. Additionally, there is a second strap in dark gray, semi-matte alligator leather. Both bracelets are equipped with the „QuickSwitch” interchangeability system.
The hours and minutes are displayed with skeleton bridges forming Roman numerals, filled with luminescent material. The individually numbered movement consists of 138 parts, including 20 jewels. The exterior shape of the Bugatti Chiron exudes power and performance. Jacob & Co. took inspiration from this sculpture to create the case of the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon. The case is a glass and metal volume whose structural elements echo the Chiron’s unique design in the signature horseshoe Bugatti grille, the quarter glass, the muscular bodywork, and the haunting headlights. Jacob & Co. reinterpreted it all with a unique sense of design and exhilaration all the way down to the movement, visible through seven sapphire panels.

This tourbillon, the fastest in the world, completes one rotation in only five seconds and is powered by nothing less than four barrels. It features an exclusive escapement mechanism that is completely reversed from a traditional one. This unique set up takes a lot more energy than a conventional tourbillon, and as such we were able to incorporate multiplying gears in the goingtrain to speed up the tourbillon without compromising the integrity of the balance. That is something that is created specific to this watch and is once again a demonstration of the incredible in-house capabilities of Franck Muller.
