Panerai introduces a re-edition of the historic 1993 model — Luminor Marina Militare PAM05218. This is a tribute to an icon with roots tracing back to the days when the brand supplied timepieces to the Royal Italian Navy.

What Makes It Special?
A design with history: The new model draws inspiration from the Luminor 5218-202/A. One of its most recognizable features is the “mismatched” hands and dial — originally caused by a chemical reaction between tritium and lacquer, now intentionally revived as a distinctive, collectible detail.
Technical features:
• 44 mm DLC-coated stainless steel case
• Water resistance up to 30 BAR (~300 m), screw-down caseback engraved with the Officine Panerai Firenze signature and the historic OP logo
• Hand-wound P.6000 calibre with a 3-day power reserveMaterials & details: The watch comes on a vintage-brown calf leather strap with a black DLC steel pin buckle, plus an additional rubber strap with a matching buckle. The matte black dial features caramel-toned Super-LumiNova® indexes and hands, providing excellent legibility and a refined vintage feel.

Why It Matters
For watch enthusiasts, the PAM05218 is more than a refreshed design — it’s a return to Panerai’s origins. What once resulted from production limitations has now been embraced as a celebrated design element. This timepiece embodies Panerai’s military heritage and long-standing watchmaking tradition.
