Breguet introduces a new iteration of the Type XX reference 2067, maintaining its dynamic allure while adopting a more refined look with the warm glow of rose gold. This metal was first introduced on two limited-edition watches in 1955. The dial now features a stunning deep blue, reminiscent of the sky at twilight as the sun sets and the moon rises. This classic masterpiece you can see in Bregeuet museum.

On the right side of the case are the chronograph pushers and a fluted crown. The „civilian” version boasts a 42mm diameter and 14.1mm thickness, with a notched bezel adorned with a blue ceramic ring. This is the first time Breguet has used this material, valued for its resistance to scratches, corrosion, and lightweight properties.
Its shine enhances the contrast with the dial’s finishes: sunburst for the main surface and azurage for the trio of subdials. These include the small seconds and hour counters at 9 and 6 o’clock, along with an oversized 15-minute totalizer positioned between 2 and 4 o’clock, overlapping the date window.
The hands have been updated from the 2023 Type XX model, transitioning from an Alpha design to elongated baton-style hands. Powering this elegant timepiece is the caliber 728, an automatic movement with a flyback chronograph function, a vertical clutch mechanism, and a high-efficiency barrel offering a 60-hour power reserve.

Like all military equipment, this tool designed for pilots and aircrew carries an official designation assigned by the French Air Force. In 1953, the Air Force issued a tender to watchmakers based on very specific requirements. The instrument needed to be durable enough to endure extreme temperatures, humidity, altitude, and speed. It also had to be at least 38mm in diameter, feature a dark dial with oversized luminescent Arabic numerals for quick readability—even at night—and include a chronograph with a flyback function that could be easily operated while wearing thick gloves.

A Collection for 2024
In 1954, Breguet’s expertise in the flyback chronograph function earned the company a contract from the French Air Force, followed by both the Armée de l’Air and Aéronautique Navale. They commissioned Breguet to produce the Type 20 for the Air Force and the Type XX for the Naval Aviation, with the spelling difference distinguishing the models developed to meet each military branch’s specific technical requirements.
To these days it keeps its oryginal style and precisions.
