Chopard Happy Round 7 Diamonds Edition 2 278475-3037 women’s watch. Original Swiss watch in a round steel and rose gold case, diameter 36.00 mm. The watch is quartz with a white dial.
Legendary Swiss timepiece manufacturer Chopard began with the work of one artisan watchmaker, Louise-Ulysse Chopard. By the 19th century, the Chopard name helped build a reputation of reliability and quality for Swiss-made products. Their Happy Diamonds watch in 1976 was a revolutionary combination of precision and haute jewelry, with fanciful floating diamonds sliding and spinning freely between two sapphire crystals. Today, they continue to craft timepieces that combine meticulous, precision mechanics with the opulence of luxury jewelry.
This 43 mm Worldtimer has a stainless steel case and integrated green rubber strap with grey stitching, additional decorative link in polished steel, and polished-brushed foldover clasp.
At the centre of the sun-brushed green dial, framed by a polished-brushed green ceramic bezel, OMEGA has produced a vision of Earth, viewed from above the North Pole, by laser-ablating continents and colours on a grade 5 titanium surface. Circling the topographic map is a 24-hour indication, divided into night and day sections.
OMEGA’s home city of Bienne Switzerland is among the many global destinations circling around the dial and its outer ring. All place names, with the exception of the British capital are coloured yellow gold. London is in red to highlight Greenwich Mean Time, now more formally known as Universal Time Coordinated (UTC).
World times are measured by hands and indexes in 18K Moonshine™ Gold. OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938 provides the power.
The Antarctique combines sophisticated style and look with a genuine in-house power movement bound to stake a major claim in the popular sport-chic segment.
The Antarctique is a 40.5 mm or 38.5 mm three-hander, thin enough to slip comfortably under a cuff, and with a carefully-honed, edgy look. The transparent case back reveals the model’s beating heart, the vigorous, 30-millimeter SXH5 automatic caliber, conceived internally by a multifaceted team. Special attention was given to both performance and appearance, so the movement’s parts are arranged for visual harmony and transparency.
Alternatively, the Antarctique Rattrapante in 42.5 mm., a split-second mono-pusher chronograph with a unique, dial-side mechanism, embodies the delicate balance between high-end mechanics and refined aesthetics.
The first ladies collection by F.P Journe a revolutionary horological concept
Always ahead of his time, conciliating tradition, innovation and modern technology, f.p.journe has developed a revolutionary horological concept for his first ladies collection. It was designed and conceived exclusively for women, with extremely precise technical specifications to provide this watch a long autonomy of 8 to 10 years in daily use and up to 18 years in standby mode.
8 years of development were necessary for this innovative movement that combines a great comfort of use and the performances of an electro-mechanical watch with feminity, elegance and precision. The “élégante” allows the time to be stopped and started again. This is the dream of all watchmakers…
The concept of this electro-mechanical watch features a mechanical motion detector visible on the dial at 4:30. When the “élégante” is motionless, it goes in stand by mode after 35 minutes to save its energy and the hands stop turning. During the standby mode, the microprocessor continues to keep time, while the mechanical parts – gears, rotors and hands – stop moving. When the “élégante” is moved again, the hands sets themselves automatically to the current time, taking the shortest path – either clockwise or counter clockwise.
All the mechanical elements of the “élégante” movement are manufactured by f.p.journe, based on the brand’s own criteria of excellence in state-of-the-art haute horology. The electronic components are made in switzerland according to exclusive standards, with a microprocessor specifically created for the watch.
The luminescent dial of the “élégante” in the titanium versions recalls the shimmering surface of white mother-of-pearl. It offers maximum legibility, by day and by night. At night the hands count off the hours, as in a shadow theatre. As a finishing touch to his first ladies collection, f.p.journe has chosen a flat tortue case, whose design is trademarked.
As françois-Paul Journe says: “i created this watch because for 20 years, women have been asking me to design a watch for them; a watch that was different and comfortable to wear, and that suited their needs and desires. I therefore created this long-lasting watch especially for them. Today the “élégante” features the only electro-mechanical movement conceived and created for the luxury market and offering a true vision of luxury.”
The “élégante” 40mm titanium is available with 8 coloured rubber straps: white, powder rose, orange, chocolate, black, anthracite, midnight blue and khaki green. The ergonomic shape of the straps perfectly embraces the wrist.
The Chronomètre Bleu offers an uncluttered approach to high precision, with irreproachable chronometric proprerties. It is innovative, with a 39 mm case made of Tantalum, a rare dark grey metal with blue overtones, so named for the “Torment of Tantalus” in reference to the Greek mythology. Tantalum is a metal rarely used in watchmaking because it is very hard and difficult to fashion (its fusion temperature is 3016° and its density 16.65 g/cm3). It is also valued for its extremely high resistance to corrosion and wear, and its bio compatibility.
The blue chrome dial, which perfectly complements the colour of the case, has been redesigned with the latest trends in mind, and features cream-coloured hands and large Arabic numerals.
The Chronomètre Bleu’s 18 K rose Gold mechanical movement with manual winding oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour. Twin barrels, in the classic configuration of precision watches, work in parallel to deliver stable power for most of the watch’s 56-hour autonomy. The F.P.Journe freesprung chronometer balance, with inertia adjustment via four opposing weights, is dynamically adjusted in six positions.
The especially dramatic and enduring design concept of the OMEGA Constellation line is characterized by its famous “Griffes”, or claws, and striking dials.
This model features a white pearled mother-of-pearl dial with 10 diamond indexes and a date window at 6 o’clock. There is also a small seconds feature at 9 o’clock that includes 4 diamond markers in 18K white gold holders.
The bezel with tone-in-tone Roman numerals is mounted on a 27 mm stainless steel casebody and is presented on a bracelet with brushed links and polished bars. This timepiece is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Small Seconds calibre 8704.
Stainless steel case, Automatic, self-winding, Diameter 43.0 mm, Black dial with luminescence, Black calfskin strap with EasX-CHANGE system, Strap width 21.0 mm.
The BR 05 belongs to the family of watches with an integrated bracelet: the bracelet fuses with the case to create a unified piece. In the words of Bruno Belamich, Bell & Ross’ co-founder and creative director: «This integration of case and bracelet is not only in line with the brand’s visual identity, it also brings another dimension to the watch: the first link forms part of the case. This type of design harks back to the Seventies, and when transposed to Bell & Ross, it creates a result with a graphic style which is both striking and modern.”
