Kari Voutilainen<\/strong>, born in 1962 in Lapland, Finland, is one of the most respected independent watchmakers in the world. Now based in M\u00f4tiers, Switzerland, Voutilainen is celebrated for his extraordinary craftsmanship, refined aesthetics, and horological innovation.<\/p>

He trained at the Finnish School of Watchmaking and further specialized at Switzerland\u2019s WOSTEP school in complicated watch restoration. Voutilainen honed his skills at Parmigiani Mesure et Art du Temps under the guidance of master restorer Charles Meylan before teaching at WOSTEP.<\/p>

In 2002, he founded his own atelier, pursuing a vision of producing exceptional, handcrafted timepieces in very limited numbers\u2014around 50 per year.
